Rep. Rouzer said [in part]:
You may wonder, “what’s the Farm Bill mean to you”. Well, congress is going to be working on reauthorizing the Farm Bill here in the next several months and it’s important for a number of reasons.

It’s not only important for our farmers and our farm families, it’s a huge economic driver for the state of North Carolina, and in fact it’s an $80 billion industry in this state.

It’s also important for you because it means food safety, the highest quality, most abundant, safest food supply at the very lowest possible price. That’s important for every family, every individual, and especially the single mom who’s trying to feed her kids and she’s working two or three jobs to make ends meet.

That’s why this farm bill is not only important for farm families all across North Carolina and this country, but it is also important for everyone including you.
