In this week's, #FarmBillFriday, Rep. David G. Valadao (CA-21), a California dairy farmer, expresses the importance of strengthening the farm bill so the California dairy industry can continue to thrive.


"As the largest dairy producing district in the nation, it’s important that Washington passes a farm bill that allows California dairy to continue to thrive and be successful in the future."

Rep. Valadao said [in part]:
Agriculture drives the American economy and it’s the backbone of the Central Valley’s economy.

As a dairy farmer myself, I understand the obstacles our farmers face every day, and it’s important in this upcoming farm bill debate that we strengthen the critical programs that our farmers and ranchers rely on. Doing so will protect the economy for all Central Valley families.

As the largest dairy producing district in the nation, it’s important that Washington passes a farm bill that allows California dairy to continue to thrive and be successful in the future.

It’s imperative that we continue to cut bureaucratic red tape and support sound policies that allow farmers to do what they do best, feeding America’s families.
