February 11, 2020
Washington, D.C. – Today, the House Agriculture Committee’s Biotechnology, Horticulture, and Research Subcommittee held a hearing to explore economic opportunities from local agricultural markets. After the hearing, Subcommittee Ranking Member Neal Dunn (FL-2) released the following remarks:
“Today’s hearing was an important reminder that American agriculture is as diverse as ever. Every day, American farmers and ranchers use innovative practices to meet the ever-changing demands of consumers. Whether participating in local food systems or shipping thousands of containers of product abroad, it takes all of us to provide our nation and the world with a safe and abundant food supply.” |
