"Today, I join my colleagues on the House Agriculture Committee and full House of Representatives in mourning the devastating loss of Rep. Jim Hagedorn.
"Jim was a tireless advocate on behalf of our nation's farmers, ranchers, producers, and foresters, and he never wavered in his commitment to serving the great people of Minnesota’s First District.
"I consider Jim a dear friend and I am honored to have known him and worked alongside him since 2019. His contagious personality and cheerful sense of humor will be missed on the Committee and in the halls of Congress for years to come. Please join Penny and I in praying for the Hagedorn family during this time of great loss."
